Gwyn Morris  Gwyn Morris was born and brought up in Cardigan. After graduating from UCW Aberystwyth with a Joint Honours degree in German and European Studies, he returned home to work in the family business. He enjoys choral singing and has been a member of Cantorion Teifi, Cywair and Ar ôl Tri.
His solo oratorio work includes ‘Samson’, ‘Messiah’ (Handel), ‘The Creation’, ‘Imperial Nelson Mass’, ‘Mass in the Time of War’ (Haydn), ‘Requiem’ (Fauré), ‘Requiem Mass’ (Mozart), ‘Olivet to Calvary’(Maunder) and ‘The Crucifixion’ (Stainer).
Gwyn has been a member of Opera Teifi since its inception and has taken principal roles in ‘Oklahoma’, ‘Fiddler on the Roof’, ‘White Horse Inn’, ‘Anything Goes’, ‘The Merry Widow’, ‘Guys and Dolls’ and ‘Kismet’, as well as most of the Gilbert and Sullivan canon.
He has been successful in many eisteddfodau, culminating in winning the Bass Solo at Bro Ogwr National Eisteddfod and the Baritone Solo at Swansea. |
